January 29th! 

OBJECTIVE: Using 2 I believe statements, write a narrative in order to develop real experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.

BELL WORK: Write down the objective. What event did you choose to express your belief?  Why did you choose the event in your narrative?

Assignment/Activity:

  1. Visit the following website to learn about narrative structure THIS LINK HERE will take you to the OWL. In your blog post today, create a lesson for the class to explain the format of a narrative (You will need an objective, Bellwork, and information with an activity). 
  2. Make sure you have your brainstorm from last week that chose an event that made you believe what "I believe" statement you chose for your narrative. 
  3. Begin writing your narrative on one of your I believe statements. Your narrative should focus on imagery and emotion, and express your belief either overtly or covertly. Leave time to post on your blog.
  4. Using the blog requirements below post 1 blog post to your blog home page. 
  5. COMPLETE the closure 
Due dates for the narrative:  Rough Draft Due 2/5, Peer Edit for Final Draft Due 2/12, Final Draft posted to Blog 2/19

  •  Contains a related image that is posted without infringing on anyone’s copyright. 
  • MLA formatted in-text citations and MLA formatted works cited at end of the post. (as needed)
