Begin the Annotated Bibliography--

OBJECTIVE: 

TUSD Curriculum Objective: W.7 – Conduct short as well as more sustained research projects to answer a question (including a self-generating question).

AP College Board Objective: The course requires writing to evaluate: Analytical, argumentative essays in which students draw upon textual details to make and explain judgments about a work’s social, historical, and/or cultural values.

BELL WORK:  Write down the objective. Describe in your bellwork what an I believe statement is. 

ASSIGNMENT 

1.   Visit thisIbelieve.org. Choose a topic from the website that is most similar or closely relates to your I believe statement. 
2.  On your blog (in your post for today) write 5-10 questions using the stems from the pink 4-levels of questioning paper. 
3.  Review the requirements for the research Annotated Bibliography. You will have today and next week to research, so use your time wisely. Complete as mentioned in the requirements, a thoughtful thesis statement, post in your blog post for today. \
4. Using the blog requirements below post 1 blog post to your blog home page:

Requirements:
  1. Post/Blog Page: EACH week you will add a BLOG POST to your blog’s home page with reflections/news about your project. 
  2. EACH BLOG POST MUST CONTAIN 
  3. A TITLE for each post 
  4. 2 SUBSTANTIAL PARAGRAPHS (See below for what to write about) 
  5. Reflect on what you completed today. 
  6. What were your questions for this week? What did you learn as the questions were answered? (Question writing will begin next week.) 
  7. What things inspired you this week? 
  8. Notes plans and questions for next week. 

  10. Contains a related image that is posted without infringing on anyone’s copyright. 
  11. MLA formatted in-text citations and MLA formatted works cited at end of the post. (as needed)

OBJECTIVE:   Using 2 I believe statements, write a narrative in order to develop real experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.   Bellwork:  Write down the objective. Describe an experience you have had with peer editing. Was it a positive or negative experience? What did you learn from the experience.  Assignments:  1.
