The "I Believe" Saga!!

OBJECTIVE: 

Using 2 I believe statements, write a narrative in order to develop real experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.  
BELL WORK: Write down the objective. Pretend you are talking to a freshman in high school, write down how you would describe to them what a narrative is. 

Assignment for 1/22


  1. Read “A Hanging” by George Orwell (Purple textbook pg. 1167-1174 or LINK TO ESSAY HERE) & “The Battle of Blenheim” by Robert Southey (L& C book pg. 1417 in  or LINK HERE). 
  2. Using the plot map, outline the parts of the story (with one piece of evidence per part) in either the poem or the essay. 
  3. Look at your I Believe statements from last Tuesday, choose 2 to begin brainstorming about. You should have 1 page of brainstorm for each. 
  4. If you have not done so please create an AP Lit & Comp blog at blogger.com and complete the following
  5. Using the blog requirements below post 1 blog post to your blog home page:
Blog Post Requirements:
  1. Post/Blog Page: EACH week you will add a BLOG POST to your blog’s home page with reflections/news about your project.
    1. EACH BLOG POST MUST CONTAIN
      1. A TITLE for each post
      2. 3 SUBSTANTIAL PARAGRAPHS (See below for what to write about)
        1. Reflect on what you completed today.
        2. What were your questions for this week? What did you learn as the questions were answered? (Question writing will begin next week.)
        3. What things inspired you this week?
        4. Notes plans and questions for next week.
        5. A related image that is posted without infringing on anyone’s copyright
        6. MLA formatted in-text citations and MLA formatted works cited at end of the post. (as needed)

Describe an experience you have had with peer editing. Was it a positive or negative experience? What did you learn from the experience.  Assignments:  1.
